Attending therapy sessions may contribute to greater well-being, building self-esteem and to a more cohesive self. For our well-being, our connection to other people or things that are important to us matter. In therapy sessions, an understanding of context and space is created for self-reflection and dialogue.
In good therapy, an opportunity is created for all concerns to be discussed. In this process clients may find more clarity for themselves. The full effects of therapy sometimes are not felt immediately, In some instances, it may take weeks until a new or additional awareness arises and change occurs.
A regular session time is 50 minutes. Weekly and fortnightly sessions are the norm.

Some clients are dedicated to longer term therapy on a weekly basis. Some clients attend weekly sessions if they are in a dilemma or crisis. Later on the sessions can be reduced to fortnightly or other arrangements.

Counselling sessions are completely confidential, except under the following circumstances.
- If I was at concern of seriously harming yourself or others.
- If you are under 17 years of age and you were being harmed by someone else.
- If I found it necessary to breach your confidentiality I would discuss this with you before taking actions.
- I am undertaking clinical supervision for my work and I am discussing work with my clinical supervisor. This standard practice and my supervisor are bound by the same laws and code of ethics and confidentiality as myself.
Yes, I am covered by the following insurances.
- Civil Liability And Professional Indemnity Insurance.
- Public and Products Liability Insurance.
A 50 minute session costs $130.
Couples Counselling 55 minutes $150
While I do not offer medicate rebates, I offer concessions for healthcare card holders, students and people experiencing financial difficulties. This can be discussed in initial consultations.
It is unique to every client and set of circumstances. While some issues can be resolved in just a few sessions, other concerns, dilemmas, and problems may take much longer.
General therapy should continue as long as you are making progress and gaining clarity on your issues.
At its core, therapy is a relationship; pay attention if the therapist is someone you trust, respect and someone who can understand you and create appropriate professional boundaries
